The youngest of six children, R.J. was born in Ventura, CA, June 1970.

At the age of 10 her family left the fast paced life of California for a quiet rural

community nestled in the Ozark Mountain foothills of Arkansas.

R.J.'s passion for writing began at an early age and was fueled by her high

school English teacher. R.J.'s first piece of work was published her junior year in the high scholl yearbook.

Today R. J. Stevens is an author of lesbian fiction.

Her writing is unique and compelling, touching emotions and thoughts that anyone can relate to.

She has been writing seriously for the last eight years, and her first novel, Becoming Bobbie, was released

on August 5, 2003

Her second novel, The Best Of Friends was also released by Kensington in April 2005.

Both books are avaliable online or at any major bookstore in the U.S. or Canada.

Currently, R. J. lives near Springfield, MO with her loving partner and a small, naked dog (a Chinise Crested) named Pogo.

She works full time as an Emergency Medical Technician/Emergency Medical Dispatcher with a local Ambulance Service.
